State-Level 3D Digital Game Art Competition – A Platform Where Creativity Meets Skill

The Asian Institute of Design is thrilled to announce the State-Level 3D Digital Game Art Competition in proud partnership with the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) under the IndiaSkills framework, a flagship initiative of the Government of India dedicated to elevating vocational skills to world-class standards.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, creative technology disciplines like 3D Digital Game Art are more than artistic pursuits; they are career launchpads. This competition gives emerging talents their state’s official platform to:

• Showcase excellence in 3D game art creation 
• Compete with Karnataka’s best young digital artists 
• Learn from industry mentors and peers 
• Advance through IndiaSkills levels – State → Regional → National
  (Top winners will move forward to compete at regional and national rounds) 

What Is IndiaSkills?

The IndiaSkills Competition is the country’s largest skill-based contest, organized under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It’s designed to identify and celebrate the highest standards of skill excellence across a wide range of vocational and digital disciplines. 

Held biennially, IndiaSkills helps young professionals:

• Showcase their abilities on state, regional, and national platforms 
• Participate in multiple skill categories from traditional trades to cutting-edge digital arts, such as 3D Digital Game Art 
• Become eligible for international representation, including the WorldSkills competitions 

3D Digital Game Art is part of the media and creative skills under IndiaSkills, highlighting how India is nurturing talent in emerging tech domains like gaming, animation, and visual storytelling. 

Competition Details 

Date: 6th January
Venue: Asian Institute of Design (host location)
Skill Focus: 3D Digital Game Art
Selection: Only the Top 8 competitors from Karnataka will be shortlisted to advance.

Each participant will demonstrate their mastery in:

• 3D modeling and asset creation 
• Texturing and visual design 
• Technical execution using professional tools (like Blender, Maya, or similar platforms) 
• Creative problem-solving under time-bound conditions 

The best performers advance to the Regional and National IndiaSkills rounds, pushing them nearer to representing India at global skill stages.
