Asian Institute of Design (AID) is proud to celebrate an inspiring achievement by its Game Art community at the 3D Character Design Challenge, hosted by AMD Presents VFX Summit.
In a competition that brought together some of the most creative minds from across the industry and academia, Sumit Biswas, Mentor of the Game Art Course, emerged as the Winner, while Ishan Kakade, a final-year student of the same course, earned the Runner-Up position.
This double victory highlights AID’s commitment to nurturing both artistic talent and professional excellence. The challenge tested participants on their ability to design and present original 3D characters – blending creativity, storytelling, and technical skill at the highest level.
The success of both mentor and student reflects the collaborative learning environment at AID, where academic guidance and creative exploration go hand in hand. It also underscores the institution’s strong focus on industry engagement and practical skill development.
AID continues to bridge the gap between education and industry by fostering a space where creativity meets innovation, and where both students and mentors grow together as artists and professionals.
Congratulations to Sumit and Ishan for their outstanding achievements!
